This piece sold prettty much before it was finished and if I would have known how perfect it was going to come together I probably would not have sold it. This may be my all time favorite piece. Ever. The funny thing is that when I first aquired the largest stone in this piece I really was not a fan of it. It had a weird shape and an unusual but polished surface that I knew was going to be a challenge to work into a piece of jewelry. Plus I wasn't a big fan of opals to begin with. I really did not like them and I was actually considering destashing this stone at one point..... But there is a double silver lining at the end of my story.... Not only do I have a much better appreciation for opals (I actually think I really may like them now)... but also... this necklace is going to a wonderful customer who has been collecting my pieces for a quite a long time. She has some truely beautiful pieces of mine so I know this one will be well taken care of and appreciated like she has done with the rest of them. And what more can you ask for when it comes to something that truely owns a little piece of your heart? 💕
